1006 Series SPYDERCRANE Pick and Carry Mode

This procedure is switching the SPYDERCRANE® from crane mode to pick-and-carry mode.
First, deploy the upper works normally. Then you have to command a boom up to no less than 50 degrees, and then slew the boom until it is centered over the front. Once the boom is centered over the front at around 50 degrees, you're going to slew the upper works slowly to line up the pick-and-carry hole on the upper works and the one on the carrier.

Once the two holes are lined up, pull the slew lock pin and insert it. With your LMI displaying duty code 0041, retract the outriggers.

Normally, only retract the outriggers high enough to clear ground obstacles. With the boom deployed and the outriggers off the ground, you are now in pick-and-carry mode, and you can travel the SPYDERCRANE normally.
You can leave the four-part hook block installed when you're in pick-and-carry mode, but your maximum carrying capacity is 3,450 lb.
