Correcting a Loose LMI Cord
Applicable to all LMI-equipped 300, 500, and 700 Series SPYDERCRANE®.
A loose LMI cord will be slack between the LMI cord reel and the boom tip. This typically occurs when a length of cord falls off the reel.
To perform this procedure, leave the SPYDERCRANE off and in travel mode.
The LMI cord reel is supported by two brackets that leave the back of the reel exposed and accessible. Rotating the LMI cord reel counterclockwise, unreel enough LMI cord to form a large loop.

Feed the loop in between the two LMI cord reel brackets and loop it over the rear of the cord reel. Release the LMI cord and allow the cord reel to tighten up the cord.
