Once your SPYDERCRANE® URW-094 is in position and level with the outriggers deployed, you are ready to utilize the crane functions of the URW-094.
First, it is important to prequalify the object weight, desired height, and the radius of the lift before operating the crane. Please reference the rated load chart located on the chassis of the URW-094 to ensure the lift is within the capabilities and safe operating limits.
Return to the front of the crane and switch the outrigger/crane switch on the outrigger control panel from "outrigger" to "crane." This will enable crane mode of the URW-094.
Next, lower the hook by slowly pulling up on the winch lever. The winch lever is the black lever in the middle at the rear of the crane. Lower the hook until you can unlatch it from the hook bar. Once the hook is free, ease the boom-up lever to raise the boom. The crane will automatically winch down the hook until the ATB is disengaged. You may then slew or swing the boom using the red turret lever to move the boom out of the way of the controls. The crane is now configured to complete a lift.
To operate the crane, it is important to first take a minute to familiarize yourself with the crane levers on the front of the crane. All SPYDERCRANE mini crawler models are equipped with pressure-sensitive controls — the only crane of its kind to offer this. The further you press the control levers, the faster the function will move. The URW-094 is equipped with automatic load-sensing technology that increases pump speed accordingly based on the inputs received. This makes smooth operation of the SPYDERCRANE easy, decreasing hook sway and creating a safer job site.
To slew or swing the turret of the crane, use the red handle located to the left of the control levers. To rotate the turret to the right, lift the lever. To rotate the turret to the left, press the lever down.

When wanting to lower the hook, or winch down, ease the middle black lever up. Reverse the action and ease the lever down to winch up and raise the hook.
To telescope the boom and extend, use the black control lever furthest to the left of the panel and ease the lever up. To retract the boom, ease the control lever down. Winch up or down while extending the boom to maintain the hook height above the ground.
Finally, to boom up, ease the right control lever down. To boom down, reverse the action and ease the lever up.
The crane functions of the SPYDERCRANE URW-094 can also be controlled using the radio remote control. For additional information on the radio remote control, please reference the operator's manual or the video on that subject.
Always practice and familiarize yourself with the crane controls before picking up a live load. Be sure to check your surroundings for hazards and practice safe crane operations at all times.
Although these videos are to aid you in the familiarization of the SPYDERCRANE URW-094, please reference and follow all manufacturer's operating and safety recommendations. It is important to operate the URW-094 in a safe manner at all times, and travel slowly when maneuvering around obstacles and always maintain control of the crane.
